soho

The London heat wave was still oppressively present on the third day, so we thought we’d spend a good part of the day out of the sun and exploring the British Museum. Several hundred other people had the same idea, as it turned out; we saw as much as we could with the crowds and then made our way back to Soho via the Underground (which was as hot as the outdoors, with the added benefit of being stuffy). We’re hoping that London won’t be quite so warm the second time around, because we’d really like to spend more time just walking around the city. Though if it does get too hot, we found the perfect theater for Harry Potter

What we learned…

1. The clock is not called Big Ben. The bell is ‘Big Ben’, and the clock is the St. Stephen’s Clock
2. Sir Christopher Wren pretty much built everything.
3. London bus drivers are crazy.
