wanderlust

“When are you going on another trip?”

It’s probably the most common question I get asked, right up there with, “How/Why did you get dreads?” and “Why are you so awesome?”

Well, maybe not that last one.

I want to travel again. I plan to travel again. I just don’t know when.

Maybe the Northwest.

We’re doing a cross-country family RV trek in two years.

Definitely Europe.

Stephen wants to see more of the UK, and Ireland, and yeah, and I’m right there with him.

Possibly, hopefully, prayerfully Africa.

Oh, and Australia. Someday.

We’ve just finished Michael Palin’s Around the World in 80 Days and are now watching his Pole to Pole series. It has stirred something within the heart of each of us, as a traveler. We’re getting restless (and Travelzoo is a pretty powerful enabler). I want to see more of the world.

Soon, I think. Very soon.

  1. I too have wanderlust –

I live in New Zealand, and I say get thee to Australia. I have spent time in Tasmania and remote coastal parts of South Australia, and let me tell you Australia is a magical country. Rural South Australia is parched, barren, big-sky country with rough, friendly, hilarious people. I so want to go back there.

And while you’re in the area, visit New Zealand. Lord Of The Rings was shot here.

    Happy travelling!
