the domestic zoo

I had the chance to shoot some photos with my friend and her daughter this past week. Little Skylar was so sweet in spite of the very chilly fall weather, and her mom was a fantastic model wrangler/art director, setting up outfits and choosing the locations. And it was such a good experience for me, having to envision the shots, work the camera and above all try to capture the spirit of my subject. By the end of the day I was floating on air – I can’t imagine wanting to do anything more than this.
