bits and pieces

Mom fired up the snowblower this morning at 5:15. I honestly don’t understand what goes through this woman’s mind sometimes. 5:15. In the morning.

It’s…just…NO.

And I laid there in bed, trying to block out the sound while also running through a laundry list of complaints against the person who brought me into this world, and realized of course that I have my own aggravating quirks and decided to bite my tongue. Half an hour later, when she was finished, I fell back into a peaceful sleep.

My car was at the shop all week, finally being repaired after the accident on my birthday. As a result, we’ve been even more housebound than usual and Hannah is going absolutely stir-crazy. I have the car back now and I think we may go to a movie tonight. Just for the sake of sanity.

To be mailed today:
  • a surprise care package for a friend
  • a photo and ‘Thank You’ note to the vet (with the rabbits gone, it’s a nice way of saying they’ll no longer be getting our business)
  • and, if all goes according to plan, four gifts for my el-Jay friends. Want a hint?

  1. and people wonder why I have headphones :-)

Though, admittedly, we don’t have to deal with snow, so no loud snowblowers….

STILL WAITING FOR THE STAMP SEAL ZOMGS.

  2. Whoa, immediately after I posted this, the mail-lady came….rang on the doorbell…and brought me the stamp seal.

I should complain in capital letters more often.

  3. “with the rabbits gone”

I completely missed this! I know I’m awfully late, but I’m so sorry to hear about Rex passing. Thinking about what was going on back in September, that’s the month we closed on the house and my LJ-checking skills were horrible. I’m sorry for that.

I always enjoyed the photos you took of them both. The photo you sent the vet is beautiful!

  4. Oh, that’s alright. I understand that things have been busy for you guys ?

I had already given the office a photo of Peanut after she died (along with a gift basket of goodies). The last time we brought Rex in, Peanut’s photo was hanging in the exam room. It makes me happy to know that my girl, and Rex too, were loved by so many people :-)
