at the barn
No riding lessons today. Instead, Hannah and I will be at my boss’ house going over the care and feeding of her critters. I’ll be housitting for a few days next month and you bet there will be photos of her zoo crew to share then.

Dad was on vacation this week. Our family vacations are really more like ‘staycations’ – we take day trips and watch movies and eat barbecued food. Lots and lots of barbecued food. And Dad does his best to disconnect, no phone calls or checking e-mails.
Well, he decided to log into his Outlook this morning.
185,000 e-mails.
This is, evidently, the drawback of auto-reply. Junk mail gets through the filter, Outlook sends a response, which can’t be recieved by the junk mail server and then gets bounced back, and Outlook sends another response…back and forth for almost a week straight.
One hundred eighty-five THOUSAND. Welcome back.
