what did I make?

Posted by emily on Nov 23, 2007 in tidbits

Well, I made progress on my homework.

I know it’s not very inspiring, but trudging through a book on feminist scientific paradigms will do that to you.

I also made time for relaxing with my younger sister. Want to know what love is? Three solid hours of Spongebob Squarepants.

“It’s fun hanging out with you,” she said. Not such a bad day after all…

Try Make Something Day

(I haven’t rhymed that much since the third grade)

While I don’t necessarily endorse the website, I do think they’re on to something; this year after the feasting and festivities, I look forward to a quiet day spent creating. But what to do…

Should I once more try my hand at knitting?

Should I break out the sewing machine?

Should it be Christmas-y, like decorations? Or should I go for something fun and silly, like a papier-mâché hat?

If you were to make something, what would it be?

Thanksgiving is nigh.

Classes are out until next Monday which leaves me with plenty of time to finish projects, work on research papers, clean my room. Oh yeah, and spend time with my family.

we are still here

Life became very crazy, very quickly. I’m off from school for the next few days and I’m hoping that things will have the chance to settle down.

Chuck joined Martin at the Bridge last Tuesday. It was not unexpected, but I didn’t have the heart to post about it at the time. Now both of the Mousey Boys have joined Peanut, Beeper and Millie in our little pet cemetery. We have gone from nine pets to five pets in a little over a month. I’ll be just fine if things stay as they are for awhile.

John shared with me this very sweet story: Kittens ‘adopted’ by pet rabbit

I wish I had more photos of when the kittens were little, but unfortunately my computer crashed a couple years ago and I lost most of them. Peanut and Rex were just wonderful with them, affectionate, caring, and most of all, exceedingly patient.

- I brought cookies to school yesterday. I figured that a lot of people wouldn’t be there, and if you were there, then you deserved a cookie. I think I was one of the most popular people on campus.

- Also, it snowed yesterday.

- This morning Dad and Stephen watched Reefer Madness.

- I don’t have classes until Monday. WOOT!

- I flaked on NaBloPoMo for five days. You know things are crazy when I don’t even have time to waste time on the computer…

- And this? Is SO. TRUE.
