“What time are you leaving today?”
“9:30″
“Okay. I wish you were staying home with us again.”
“Me too, kidlet.”

Mom and Dad’s gift to Stephen this year was to help him pay for the amp of his dreams. Don’t you love how no-nonsense birthdays become once you start to grow up? Then there were technical mishaps with both of the gifts that Hannah and I were supposed to give to Stephen for his birthday. So we called it a “Hanukkah birthday” because the presents will be spread out over the week and just gave him our cards last night instead.
Hannah selected a card that had Barbie on the front, complete with rainbows and sparkles and flowery text: Because You’re Special
The inside read: Wishing you a happy, magical, dream-filled birthday. Happy b-day, Princess. Love ya!
Mine was, of course, a bit mushier.

We watched Shrek 3 last night, having heard that it wasn’t that great, and overall it was a lot better than I expected it to be. I (heart) Puss in Boots.
