To Be Noted:
- I live with my family: Mom, Dad, Stephen (15), Hannah (12), and ‘Papa’ (maternal grandfather). Both of my parents work, and I’m in school full time, so we all have responsibilities around the house, including taking care of Papa’s meals and homeschooling for Stephen and Hannah, which I help out with.
- Obviously, I don’t schedule time to pet the bunnies, or spend a few minutes snuggling with the cats. When I am home, I am with and around my animals almost constantly, and they are rarely lacking for attention.
- ‘Computer time.’ While there are certain chunks of time that I set aside specifically for the computer, I also log on whenever I have a few minutes here and there. I check in to RO at least twice a day, for instance, and check my e-mail fairly regularly. I also maintain three blogs and write whenever the mood hits me. The majority of my computer time is spent over the weekends while at work (it gets awfully quiet at the switchboard after midnight)
- ‘Family time.’ Spending time with my family is hugely important to me. It’s a time to catch up on what’s going on in our lives, discuss family issues, make plans, and just have fun together. For being as crazy as they are, they keep me sane.
Above all, this schedule is a loose representation of my day-to-day life. I’m probably forgetting a few things that I’m so used to doing I don’t even think about them. I do try to stick to a schedule, because otherwise I forget to do things like clean the litterboxes, or refill waterbottles. I also free up time whenever I have a commitment or extra trip (library, staff meeting, book club, etc.). I go shopping once a week, usually on my way home from class or work, to buy bunny veggies and chicken for the cats – I make and freeze batches of cat food every other week.
