Most of my time and mental/emotional/physical energy has been consumed with the care of Peanut. She’s doing well, but she does require rather constant attention, and it can be draining after awhile. She and I have shared more than a few nap times.
Of course, I haven’t been very active online. Barely blogging (or keeping up with other people’s blogs) and only rarely posting on any of my (many) online communities. I just can’t summon the energy to put my thoughts or my day-to-day life into words. Which is saying a lot, because I’m rarely at a loss for words over anything. I was going through some of my childhood stuff that mom saved, and I wrote about everything. A born blogger.
I start school in a little over three week. Yikes! And after this week, it’s one downhill motion. Beginning Thursday, it’s our towns 175th Anniversary celebration, then I’ll be helping with the Greek Festival for church, then it’s Labor Day, and classes start the next day. I have a lot of things to get done in the next three weeks.
P.S. Watch this. Powerful. Provocative. Deep. Heartbreaking.

What are you going to do about the animals when you’re at school? Your parents don’t live anywhere near USM as far as I’ve been able to ascertain your location.
That sounded stalker-y. I’m really not one.
heh, that’s alright. I live an hour south of Portland and I commute to school. Two classes in Portland this semester, one in Gorham, and one in Sanford. I’m only at school for 4 days a week, and they’re not very long days, which is a plus. So with very few exceptions, the animals are entirely my responsibility, and I pitch in around the house wherever I can.
wow. That poem was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you get everything done!
