palm sunday

Seated in Heaven upon Your throne and on earth upon a foal, O Christ our God, You accepted the praise of angels and the songs of the children who cried out to You: Blessed are You that come to call back Adam.

O Immortal Lord, You have bound hell, slain death, and raised the world: therefore the children, carrying palms, sing praise to you as Victor, O Christ, and they cry aloud to You this day: Hosanna to the Son of David!

(and to those who celebrate it today: Happy Easter!)
