I, for one, can neither believe nor accept that it is the 1st of September.

*sigh*

Where does the time go?

I realize I still haven’t posted anymore about the trip. That’s the way it always seems to work out: you get past the first week of decompressing/re-adjusting, and then life grabs you by the wrist, jerks you to your feet, and you’re off and running. Sure, there have been BIG things on my mind.

Orthodoxy. Fall semester. Health issues. Finances. Youth Group. Car repairs. Etcetera, etcetera…

But really, the thing that gets you isn’t something huge. It’s in the mundane inanities of life that you lose yourself. Work. Errands. Animals. Le Computer…

Time passes in large gulps. A day, a week, a month gets swallowed up before you even realize it’s gone. You do things, but nothing ever seems to get done. And yet…

Regret for wasted time is more wasted time. – Mason Cooley

These are, of course, just early morning thoughts fueled by one cup of coffee and half a bagel
