Take 21 pennies, and line them up in a row. This is church history.

Now take one penny aside. This is Evangelical Protestantism.

The funny thing about this little penny is, it likes to think that it is more valuable than all the other pennies. In fact, it will even pretend that the other pennies don’t exist.

Yet without those twenty pennies, there would be no twenty-first penny.

Simplistic, yes. But thought provoking.
